First gay ‘marriage’ in Pakistan
Surely, this is one of the reasons for the Earthquake
A gay couple have become the first to get “married” in Pakistan, according to reports from the region. Witnesses said a 42-year-old Afghan refugee held a marriage ceremony with a local tribesman of 16 in the remote Khyber region bordering Afghanistan.
On hearing of the wedding, a tribal council told the pair to leave the area or be killed for breaking religious and tribal “values and ethics”.
A local Urdu-language newspaper said the elder man, named as Liaquat Ali, had taken a local boy called Markeen as “his male bride”.
The paper said the boy’s impoverished parents accepted 40,000 rupees (£380) for their son’s hand in marriage.
“The marriage was held amid usual pomp and show associated with a tribal wedding,” it said.
Malik Waris Khan, a prominent local politician and former federal minister, confirmed to AFP that the marriage had taken place.

Increasingly, gay couples are living together in some of the big cities such as Karachi and Islamabad, but gay marriages remain unheard of, he says.
Pakistani law punishes sodomy with imprisonment ranging from two years to life.
Some Islamic provisions prescribe 100 lashes for the act or even death by stoning.
A gay couple caught having sex were lashed publicly in the Khyber region in May.

well its my first time that im visiting this site.. and i was searching something for my project but when i was scrolling the page i saw a comment written on this topic.. i was really surprised that this kind of topics are being discussed here.. pakistan is made on the name of ISLAM but now very sadly i have to say that humare amaal hi aissey nahii keh hum khud ko muslim keh sakein.. i think the persons who are involve in such kind of activities should directly hanged infront of all peoples on a chowk.. so than no1 again will try to attempt it .. this is the only solution for these kinds of evils..

Well yeah ! these are what we call DOUBLE STANDARDS..if a guy goes and have sex with a girl, people think he is a stud but if two men are in love, people think its wrong .. what the hell is wrong with people ? How many other things do you so-called muslim pakistanis follow when it comes 2 Islam .. I am a Muslim and I am gay and I am VERY happy with my boyfriend. There is nothing wrong with being gay and DO NOT bring islam in it because when it comes 2 Religion .. its a very personal matter.

this appeared to be very disgusting kind of act which must be punished severely by the state. no doubt homosexuality is prevelant in pakistan specially in mianwali district and its adjoining areas administered by the tribes like tribal area, but the thing which has surprised me that people have become so bold that they have publically announced the gay marriage. for the moment who acvocate the gay marriage tell me in whose favour is this gay marriage the so called bride or so called groom. this indicates that our social fabrics are in taters and will continue to do so if we dont stop these type of evil acts.
these marriages have never been accepted as marriages in any religion like christianity Islam judaism and even in hinduism and sikhism.so y break the rules of Allah and religion

I strongly desist gayism.This is against the teachings of islam and also against the LAWS oF Nature.Healthy society is free of all such evils and our people should strengthen their bond with their religion.Just imagine the sufferings of the people of LEbanon and Palestine and Kashmir.They are being crushed and we busy in most sinister works.May Allah save us from His anger!

well after all these views i must say to all those who dont even bother to take the responsibilities of thier sins . jab zameen per gunahoon ka booj zada ho jaye tu wo use ugaal deete hain . but do u hitnk that is these r the only sins of people of muzaffarabad bagh alai manshra n some other badly effected areas by earth quake . NO not at all it is chance for every one to walk on the rite path but still people r indulge in sins this earthquake may come to ur home some people said its really an old story alas ask to those people who suffered from this horrendous lose . i m one of the effectes . so i think i have best understanding of this matter to tell others .wat happen where i was wen and how earthquake came its really a story for others but facts for us we lose our homes frends families our city beautiful memories so how u people blame each other y u all think about ur self that is their any problem with u or u did some thing wrong .

Good god! We’re human beings, not animals. We are not here to judge. Only Allah will decide the fate of all. As for now, I think the same punishment should exist for being caught with four witnesses for having gay or straight sex. Not that I even agree with that whole thing, but then again, who’s going to have four people sitting around while they get it on?
Also, more and more young Pakistanis are having sex (male-female). How can we say that’s better than having male-male or female-female sex? Why should adultery and fornication be more acceptable than homosexuality.
Personally, I’m all for sex. Have fun.

Well if you do have to kill.. then please kill the “kafar” who cheated me of 400 at the corner shop.. and the cab driver who charged me three times the ammount because he figured i was new to the city.. and ofcourse the man in our mohallah who beats his wife everynight because hes high on our national “faqeeree nasha”.. as in pot!! and please do kill the police man who stopped me the other day driving to abbottabad and wanted a bribe for nothing imaginative… and dont forget the teacher who never shows up for his class accept on pay day.. and the bloody doctors who mistreat and mismanage and are responsible for god knows how many deaths and misery…. and in the end slaughter the mullah who managed to incite haterd for the other sect which left seven dead..

ohhhhhhhhhh my God. i shocked when i read this artical.what is happening. is Pakistan is a muslim state and if yes then where are son of Islam please anyone tell me complete address of these gay marriage kafars. i will kill them please please tell me address of these kafars. where is this universe going i shoure ofcourse near to qyamat. I want to share some of my comments that qyamat is compulsory and no daud to come the qyamat but muslims of Pakistan are sleeping ok carry on but don’t forget that when qyamat will come i will caught every person giayban who know the address of these gay marriage kaffars. I want to focus the attention of GOVT of Pakistan and specialy dectator Pervaiz Musharaf that come forrowed and wash your sins to kill these kafars

salam…most of the responses have suggested killing the two gay men in pakistan…but what i don’t understand is that why is it that we should kill the gay muslims in pakistan because it is an islamic state and not the ones in western countries…islam is islam everywhere in the world and a muslim is a muslim no matter what their race is, what their country is…there are plenty of gay and lesbian muslims in the western countries however we do not take alot notice of them just because they are living in a community where homosexuality is quite openly acceptable..
please dont get me wrong i personaly am strongly against homosexuality but i just think that we as human beings are noone to say what the punishment for the gay couples should be as we would have commited enough sins ourselves…Allah subhanatallah is the creator of all creatures and therefore the reward or punishment of their acts should be left for him to decide as wel…

How pathetic that other people are so concerned with the business of others! The worst thing is that there are actually those who consider themselves “human beings” and say that such a disaster as an earthquake has taken place and claimed the lives of so many innocents – simply because of the actions of two men. If the older man paid for the hand of the younger man, that is also pathetic. How disgusting that Pakistan still practices selling daughters to old men for money. What parent could show so little love as to sell a daughter and arrange a marriage to a man she doesn’t know, love, or want at all? This whole Muslim thing has gotten so out of control world-wide. Christians are completely insane too. Organized religion is so unorganized! It’s all about nothing but judgement of others. If someone has done anything wrong and you do believe in Allah, then trust that your god will deal with the guilty – all of the guilty – at some point. People are not God and they have no right to judge or punish. I have read from some “Muslim brothers and sisters” that these two men should have hot iron rods placed “somewhere” or that any respectful Muslim man should shoot the two of them. Does Allah really send you these insane messages telling you to harm others or to kill others? If so, hopefully your “Allah” will bring down his wrath upon you for I do not know any family or individual without fault. Hypocrites just hide what they do. Frankly, even if anyone is guilty, it is not the young man in this union. He was purchased by the older man and sold by his own parents. Of course, it is so common in Pakistan and the Middle East to sell human beings like livestock or the African slaves we used to keep here in the United States. I stumbled on this news/informational website and it isn’t worth it to try to reason with religious zealots, but I had to speak out. Persecution is a crime against humanity.

after earth quake there are many problems in kashmir there are some groups called chura group (knife
group). people are afraid by this group. in kashmir different arreas bhimber seerla and arwall people even cant sleep at night but no help found by police and government.

This earthquake was triggered we are in the stage where countrys are finding new ways to use weather as weapons and i guarantee you america has that weapon keep watch for the quakes

some people believe that earth quake was the reason of all those sins commited by the socciety. listen guys this is just the insult of all thos earth quake victoms and all those homeless people specially kids who are innocent and they havent done any sin yet, what a stupid and idiotic thoughts this is. somone has done this sin in afganistan and God has punnished 80000 people in azad kashmir and other areas of pakistan. I dont understand how is it related.
and please stop insulting thos 80000 dead people and all thos homeless people. if You people cant help others then please dont relate this insulting topic to the earth quake which is a natural disaster.
