First gay ‘marriage’ in Pakistan
Surely, this is one of the reasons for the Earthquake
A gay couple have become the first to get “married” in Pakistan, according to reports from the region. Witnesses said a 42-year-old Afghan refugee held a marriage ceremony with a local tribesman of 16 in the remote Khyber region bordering Afghanistan.
On hearing of the wedding, a tribal council told the pair to leave the area or be killed for breaking religious and tribal “values and ethics”.
A local Urdu-language newspaper said the elder man, named as Liaquat Ali, had taken a local boy called Markeen as “his male bride”.
The paper said the boy’s impoverished parents accepted 40,000 rupees (£380) for their son’s hand in marriage.
“The marriage was held amid usual pomp and show associated with a tribal wedding,” it said.
Malik Waris Khan, a prominent local politician and former federal minister, confirmed to AFP that the marriage had taken place.

Although it remains a taboo subject, homosexuality is relatively common in Pakistan, says the BBC’s correspondent Aamer Ahmed Khan in Islamabad.
Increasingly, gay couples are living together in some of the big cities such as Karachi and Islamabad, but gay marriages remain unheard of, he says.
Pakistani law punishes sodomy with imprisonment ranging from two years to life.
Some Islamic provisions prescribe 100 lashes for the act or even death by stoning.
A gay couple caught having sex were lashed publicly in the Khyber region in May.

I think we have bigger things to worry about now days. Besides, quite frankly, it’s none of our business. Why is it that we must always comment on other people and what they’re doing. I think there’s nothing wrong with two people who love each other getting married. Get over it; we’re in the 21st century!

While its bad and saddening, but we must also think if we- who so vehemently are proposing death punishment – have performed our duties as muslims !! how many of us even think about the duty of “Amar bil maroof” which is equally , or even more, important than “Nahee an el munkar” ?? The world is full of people who know nothing about Allah Subhanutaala and HIS commands and wills. Its our duty to preach and take the message of prophet Muhammad (saw) to these people.
Kaash koi in logoon ko ja kay pyaar say bhee samjhaye k yeh Allah ki narazgee ka kaam hai to shayad Allah in ko hidayat hi day day !!!
And ALLAH knows best

Saying that God is one and Almighty is not to spell only but being a muslim and leading our life in such a state,it is really disgusting to hear this astonishing news that even being a muslim such act takes place and government of Pakistan only smiles.
May God keep help us(Amin).

This is totally rediculus and against islamic ethical and moral values. People who are involved in these kinds of deeds should recive punishment under Islamic laws, and people who supports these activities should be ashamed of theirselves and to call them a Muslim. Those who commit this sins should be punish because its not only social but also a religious disgrace.
MAy Allah save us from all sins!

it is very horrible news.i see so many gay persons in my city but heard 1st time of gay marriage in Pakistan.
it may be a cause of earthquake because when male do sex with each other, earth get pain.

Pardon my impertenance, but wasn’t the earthquake caused by the slippage of two tectonic plates which creates the fresh and jagged peaks of the mountain ranges?
To stir unnecessary fear in a population already grieved with such tremendous loss seems simply cruel and hateful. How does one rescue and rebuild a damaged countryside with such distraction?

very bad act and must be punished.

This will usually fake report because some of those area people do the unnatural thing but most don’t do it and this all activity was underground and also thier is strong network of Muslim Scholars who don’t let them do this openly. Also if some one do that so he will punished for that no other or incocent peoples. Allah is great and Allah is marcifull. he don’t give any punishment of one to other and all this thing is to be happend by his will, he is the only who do what he want to do. So guys please don’t creat panic, fake and unwise report untill and less you see by your self. remeber no one is complete or no one don’t make mistake. as we can find people in America who are millions times more great and Deendar then in pakistan. so bad and good is every where, but we have to fallow the good only. leave the bad thing as it is untill it don’t hurt u or some one else. beye

Ofcourse our religion is not allowing such marriages, but every one is now that the trend of homosex is developing but not openly. If such cases becames open and the delinquents were not punished, every one in the world just think about the ‘Azab-e-Elahi’ just like the time of Hazrat Lut, Alehissalams. Today night as 27th of Ramzan ul Mubarik we must pray and beg mercy and blessing from or Allah. Khuda ham sab ko mehfooz rakhey.
